My New Year's Resolution
I’ll be more fearless, open-minded and adventurous in my work, life and travels. I’ll let people, art, books and real food inspire my life. I’ll let perspective rule over details, embrace what really matters and focus on the bigger picture.
I’ll challenge myself and others to ask why, to look for the truth, to think for themselves. I’ll focus on mind, body and...

Access Before Ownership
Having access often beats ownership - both from a practical and a financial perspective. We are mentally conditioned to believe that ownership is the endgame, may that be cars, movies, furniture or a house. But taking the 30K foot view, it’s the unrestricted and unlimited access to all these things that we really value. The sense of ownership is to a certain extent a fabrication, a product...

"What if I all my media could be digital?"
My thought in the end of 1999 as I had entered my second year working for Yahoo!. I created this long wish-list of things that I wanted to do with all my media, and low and behold, 10 years later it has all come true:
One central repository for all my music and movies (via iTunes Library)
Accessible via desktop, mobile and the Internet (WiFi, iPhone and WAN)
Streaming music and movies on-demand...
It’s easy and safe for most “investment professionals” to...
– “Hot Stocks For A New Decade?” Wait A Minute!, Wall Street Journal, December 20, 2009

2010: A Crazy Odyssey
It’s been almost 42 years since the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey was made in 1968. It had the tag-line: An epic drama of adventure and exploration. That’s how I feel about 2010. We are only 23 days away from making history; becoming parents for the first time in our lives. Pretty cool, huh!
We both grew up during the 70s and could have invented cool if it wasn’t for Steve...

Still confused but on a higher level
The best thing with a new year is that it has a beginning and an end. In-between there are surprises, chaos, achievements, fun times, tough times, learnings, failures and the occasional year-end bonus (especially if you are working for the vampire squid).
This has been what we in swedish call a “mellanår” which means the year in-between. It’s often translated to an average...

– To Act Like the Rich, Be Frugal
John Mauldin is a rock star and I share his forecast 100%. We should stay positive cause life will be awesome despite financial hardship with a double dip recession. The smart guys are preparing themselves for another leg down and the tremendous financial market and real estate buying opportunity in 2013-2015. The next 20 years are going to be amazing - we’ll survive, thrive and prosper...

If A Modern Man Visited A Supermarket For The...
I’ve almost solely bought groceries at the Farmer’s Market over the past 18 months with the occasional trip to Safeway and Costco. And most of my other purchases - books, music, movies, wine, travel and clothes - happens via the web. So you could say that I’ve been losing the touch or at least the neural memory of how it’s done effectively.
Today I ventured down to our...
